On Saturday, November 19, about 150 community members attended a ribbon cutting and sampled the activities at the Apex Simms Street Center, the new home of the APRD gymnastics, dance, cheerleading and pottery programs at 11706 W. 82nd Ave.

Arvada Police Release Composite Sketch in Child Abduction Attempts

(Arvada, CO) – Arvada police are releasing a composite image of the suspect wanted in a series of attempted child abductions and indecent exposure incident in Arvada in the past 10 days.
Based on follow-up interviews with the victims and a review of the composite drawing, investigators believe it’s a strong possibility the incidents are tied to one suspect
The suspect is described as a white male, in his 50’s to 60’s with salt-and-pepper colored hair. He has a wrinkled face
In light of the recent news of several attempted child abductions please take some time to speak to your children about stranger danger.

President Jim Whitfield called the October 6, 2011 meeting of the Board of Directors of Apex Park and Recreation District to order at 6:30 p.m. at the Apex Center, 13150 W. 72nd Avenue, Arvada, Colorado. Apex board members in attendance were: Jim Whitfield, Bob Loveridge, Ken Harrell, Jeff Glenn and Lee Humrich. Apex participating staff members were Mike Miles, Executive Director, and Luann Levine, Recording Secretary.
