Are jogging strollers allowed on the 5K run course? What is the time limitation to finish the 5K run? Thanks to anyone who knows the answers to these questions.
Strollers are allowed but we ask that you start towards the back.
There is no time limit for finishing.
Are you allowing walkers?
Yes, Walkers are always wecomed!
Get Active, Saty Active!
Can I register on-line and pay by check?
Yes you can.
How far is the free “fun run/walk?”
Fun Run/walk route, approximately 1 mile long, follows the walking/biking trail south and east of the Apex Center.
Is the fun run going to be timed? Are there any awards for the fun run? How do you identify the first place finishers for the fun run without a bib number? Is registration required for the fun run? Are there any bike marshalls for the fun run?
The fun run is free and there is no registration. There is a bike lead-out. It is not officially time. We can tell who the winner is by the first male and female that crosses the finish line. All kids get a small prize and there is a small award for the male and female winners.
What type of awards are given to the overall male and female winners for the fun run?Are the awards given after they cross the finish line or during the awards ceremony? How many participants were in the fun run last year? Thanks.Dione
The Fun Run award has been a logoed glass and they are given out at an awards ceremony. We have about 100 people participate in the fun run.
During the awards ceremony for the fun run,how do you know the names of the male and female winners without a bib number?Do they give their names to race officials after they cross the finish line?
We just stop and talk to the winners as they cross the finish. It’s not that big of a race, everyone’s honest, and it’s very casual in the fun run. It’s just for fun.
