Beginning on Monday, August 20, and continuing through Thursday, August 23 (Saturday, August 25 for the aquatics area), the Apex Center will be closed for annual cleaning and maintenance.
The center will re-open Friday, August 24 at 5 am, except for the aquatics area (lap pool and activity pools). Those areas will re-open Sunday, August 26 at 10 am.
Apex Center pass holders may use the cardio and weight areas at the Racquetball and Fitness Center, 12120 W. 64th Ave., and the Community Recreation Center, 6842 Wadsworth Blvd., free of charge during shutdown. Just bring your Apex Center pass to these facilities.
Several other recreation centers in the area have their annual shutdowns around the same time. Westminster Recreation Center and Golden Recreation Center, for example, will also be closed during the week of the Apex Center shutdown. However, Wheat Ridge Recreation Center, will be open the week of August 20-26; their shutdown begins August 27.
Big Time Trampoline Fun Center, 7330 West 52nd, Arvada, CO, is offering Apex Center Annual Passholders 2 hours for $5 during shutdown. Show your card, then your family and 3 guests get in on the deal.
