More than 200 Sam’s Club employees gathered in the Apex Center gyms on Wednesday for a boisterous, high-energy dodgeball tournament to support an organization that brings a touch of home to US troops deployed overseas.
Operation Shoebox is a nonprofit whose volunteers collect and distribute a variety of items — food, clothing, games, and lots more — to help our overseas military men and women. It’s a small but vital way to show support for their efforts and sacrifices on our behalf.
Sam’s Clubs across the nation are joining together in support of Operation Shoebox, and employees from Colorado and Wyoming were on hand for the dodgeball tournament at the Apex Center. To learn more about Operation Shoebox and how you be a part of it, visit operationshoebox.com.
If you’re planning your own sports event or gathering of any kind, keep Apex Park and Recreation District facilities in mind.
