The Apex Center reopens following its annual maintenance closure on Saturday, August 26, with pools re-opening on Sunday, August 27. We are excited to welcome customers back to a refreshed and revitalized center! Here are some highlights of what we accomplished in just under a week’s time:

Screened and refinished all gym floors and group exercise studio
New upholstery on select fitness equipment
Painting throughout the facility
Completed grout repairs in main locker rooms; anti-slip application added
All 1400 windows cleaned
Began major repairs on large pond outside main entrance
Entire climbing wall surface cleaned; rock wall holds removed, washed and replaced in new routes
535 pairs of ice skates cleaned, sharpened, and re-laced
Installed new seating in Ice Lobby
Drained, deep cleaned and filled all pools
Repaired Tube Slide
Repainted the slide stairs with anti-slip

This extensive list does not include deep cleaning of virtually all equipment, surfaces and fixtures within the Apex Center, along with other routine cleaning/maintenance items. We’ve been busy, the results are outstanding and we look forward to seeing you soon! Don’t forget to register for your favorite fall programs at the Apex Center and throughout the district.
