Chuck Bird, age 73, is an Arvada resident and a long-time SilverSneakers® participant at the Apex Center. He collects Easter supplies all year to create baskets, which he then donates to needy children. Since he began the basket donation project three years ago, he has increased his donations ten-fold, and this year, with the help of Apex PRD staff and guests, he’s donating 250 baskets to the Arvada Community Food Bank for children in need.
