Workshops hosted by Arvada Police Animal Management Unit
While coyotes are found throughout the West, they are extremely adaptable and thrive in urban areas. Coyotes are attracted to neighborhoods due to the availability of garbage, pet food and even small pets, which coyotes see as prey.
What can you do to be prepared when encountering a coyote?
How can you discourage a coyote’s approach?
What kind of devices can you use to haze a coyote?
Learn the answers to these questions by attending one of the following FREE Coyote Hazing Workshops;
June 25, July 30, or August 13 from 2-3 pm
at the Apex Center, 13150 W. 72nd Ave. in the Downstairs Party Room
RSVP to or 720-898-6834
- The workshop is open to children 10 years + and adults
- Participants leave with hazing devices
- This workshop is strongly encouraged for anyone using Arvada’s extraordinary trail systems
