Pay Range: $45,000-$60,000, hiring range $45,000-$50,000 plus excellent benefit package

General Purpose:
The Golf Shop 1st Assistant and Teaching Professional (GS1stA, TP) assists Assistant Operations Manager/Head Professional in the management of day-to-day golf operations of the facility. The position is responsible to supervise and manage total golf operations in the absence of the Assistant Operations Manager/Head Golf Professional. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of customer service and total satisfaction of all customers. GS1stA, TP Assists the Assistant Operations Manager and Head Golf Professional in the overall golf operations of the golf course, driving range, golf shop and adult/junior golf instructional programs and private lessons. Assists with the management of daily golf operations including managing and tracking play, protecting, and controlling assets, supervises golf staff, assists with all merchandising functions, manages tournaments, and provides other professional services to ensure an exceptional golf experience.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Gives a minimum of fifteen hours of private/group golf instructions per week. Conduct individual lessons and group clinics. Assist in Player Development programs. Assist in instructions of the junior program; tournaments, summer programs, individual lessons, rules and etiquette lessons.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1.Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations.
2.Fundamental supervisory practices and principles.
3.Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
4.Experienced computer user including; Microsoft Word and Excel, Rec Trac and Paylocity. Proficient in other applications, i.e. email, internet, tournament databases.
5.Maintain PGA of America membership in good standing in an active classification.
6.Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations
7.Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills. Self-motivated with desire to promote and market

Education/Formal Training:
1.Associate degree or Bachelor Degree.
2.Must hold a current PGA membership and be in good standing.
3.Three years’ experience in supervisor role.
4.Must possess a current and valid Colorado driver’s license.
