Apex PRD Donations
Priority for donations is given to non-profit organizations within Apex Park and Recreation District boundaries, roughly defined as Sheridan Boulevard on the east, the Boulder county line on the north, Highway 93 on the west, and 52nd Avenue on the south. The district also gives priority to non-profit organizations with a strong tie-in to community recreation.
To qualify for a donation request, you must be a non-profit organization.
Your request for donations must be submitted via email on your organization letterhead. Please include your 501c(3) non- profit, tax exempt ID number, and description of your organization/event. If it is a special event please specify how Apex PRD will be advertised/acknowledged. All schools must supply newsletter contact information.
As a special district and governmental entity, Apex PRD is not able to donate cash, and we are limited in the number of facility and activity passes or certificates we can donate. According to law, non-profit organizations requesting donations in the form of passes or certificates are required to provide the district advertising/promotion at their fund-raiser event or internal newsletter in exchange for our donation.
Allow up to 30 days for your request for donations to be processed. Denied requests will not receive notification due to the high volume of requests.
We cannot accept telephone or faxed requests. Requests sent other than via email and not on letterhead will not be reviewed.
Due to the number of requests for donations we receive, we are unable to provide status of your request once submitted.
Every year the Apex Park and Recreation District offers limited scholarships to needy families within our District. Applications will be reviewed and a manager will contact you. Only District residents will be considered. To apply for a scholarship, please download the APRD Scholarship Application and submit the completed form to:
