Any chance of getting a Wed morning or weekend drop-in time?
I’ve just started playing hockey earlier this year and I’m looking to improve my skills while still having fun. How competitive are the drop in sessions?
The drop in sessions can be competitive. Skate n Shoots may be a good place to work on your skills until you feel stronger on skates.
Hi there. I’ll be visiting from out of town and would like to try drop-in hockey. Any chance of opening a special session or two mid week between 12/18 and 1/3 , since the facility will be closed for the holidays?
David
I added a 12:00 to 1:30pm on 12/24 and 12/31. All the rest of our ice is sold as this is a very busy couple of weeks for us. Bob
Will APEX ever consider an all inclusive family/individual membership for skating? Other area rinks offer this and seems to make good sense.
I’m looking to get back into it and was wondering how well the turnout is for most drop in nights? Do you get two full teams most of the time? What is the age range, and is it co-ed? I’m 23 and I used to play for the youth program at DU. I’m really excited to get back on skates.
Stephanie,
I can tell you that the Monday & Friday afternoon (12-1:30) skates are usually full. Ages 20-55, level is B-E (above beginner up to a few guys who played some level of college), & they are co-ed with 1-2 female skaters. It’s a good group of people but be sure to sign up early as it fills up quick (i usually do the day before). Good Luck!
How many players typically show up for the Friday morning pick-up?
We had 16 skaters and one goalie (me) last Friday. It’s a pretty consistently fun skate.
