The second annual ‘Round The Clock Racquet Rally was a fun, festive and heartwarming event to raise money for local families in need. 100% of the proceeds went to the Arvada Community Food Bank…this year’s total was $1151.31.

Participants signed up to be part of the goal to play tennis non-stop for 24 hours, beginning at 5 pm on Friday, August 19 and continuing until 5 pm on Saturday, August 20. Teams rotated on and off the courts, with a few interruptions due to rain. For their efforts they received T-shirts, snacks, prizes and lots of accolades!

The proceeds came from entry fees, donations and table rentals. Besides the money, about half a barrel of food was collected and donated to the food bank. Every hour, all those present were entered into a drawing for prizes.

A total of about 40 tennis players participated, ranging from age 10 to age 82. Many thanks to all who gave their time and energy. Your efforts helped alleviate hunger by supporting the Arvada Community Food Bank.
