Luke Heesacker, long-time volunteer member of the Apex PRD Foundation and dedicated friend of the District, was honored as the Man of the Year at a luncheon on March 28.

Luke’s outstanding qualities, along with those of Connie Zimmerman, Woman of the Year, were described in a recent article in YourHub by Arvada Chamber Dot Wright. “The Arvada Chamber of Commerce is honored to award these outstanding and diverse Arvada leaders and entrepreneurs at the Man and Woman of the Year luncheon. These winners truly exemplify the integrity, character, and personality of what makes Arvada a great place to work, live and play.”

The article went on to describe Luke, owner of Arvada Rent Alls, as “an individual of integrity and strong supporter of the community. He has been an active member of the Apex Park and Recreation District Foundation for many years, tirelessly volunteering his time, talent and treasure toward decades of successful fund-raisers. He has also served on the Board of the Sooper Credit Union Community Foundation since 2009. He also serves on the Arvada Economic Development Association Retention Committee and has contributed to the Arvada Food Bank, Boy and Girl Scouts, Arvada Police Department and to a variety of other school, church, and civic events and programs. From donations for community events like the Arvada West Alumni Homecoming dance to contributions to the Arvada West scholarship fund, Luke is committed to Arvada.”

Apex PRD and the Foundation offer heartfelt thanks to Luke for his dedication to community recreation, along with congratulations for this well-deserved honor.
