The 10th annual Apex PRD Foundation Car Show in Arvada, CO was a treat for dads, families, runners, walkers and – last but not least – car lovers. From 9 am to 3 pm on Sunday, June 15, spectators strolled around the Apex Center parking lot to see and appreciate a spectacular array of vehicles.

Many decades, makes and models were represented at the show, which has gained a reputation for outstanding quality and variety. Refreshments, kids’ activities and the Father’s Day 5k/10k/family fun run rounded out the day.

The car show is a free annual event, with proceeds from entry fees going toward the Apex PRD Foundation to support quality, affordable and accessible community recreation through Apex Park and Recreation District.

The Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with a 15-member volunteer board of civic and business leaders who dedicate time and resources to improve community recreation. Since its founding in 1973, the Foundation has completed a wide range of projects—building park pavilions and playgrounds, purchasing equipment for programs, helping meet transportation needs for youth and seniors, renovating facilities, starting a memorial tree program, and much more.

The Foundation’s next event is the 34th Annual Golf Tournament, which takes place Friday, September 19 at Indian Tree Golf Club. Visit foundation.apexprd.org for sponsor/player information.
