The Ralston-Central Park in Arvada is now open!

Here’s a short video of the splash pad water features at the Ralston-Central Park at Ralston Road and Garrison Street in Arvada. People came from Denver, Boulder, Wheat Ridge, Golden, Westminster, Thornton, and Broomfield for the dedication of the park on a beautiful afternoon.

The park is a great example of local government agencies working together. “It’s amazing what small government can achieve when intelligent people sit down together in the right frame of mind,” said Apex PRD Board Vice President, Jim Whitfield. The City of Arvada owns the park and will maintain the grounds and play-features. The Apex Park and Recreation District will maintain the splash pads UV water filtration system.

My two year old was all smiles – he loved running and playing in the water even the play structures(grounds) were awesome!! They have a huge lawn the surrounds the grounds and also picnic tables (first come first serve) – you can make a day out of it. Just bring your picnic basket. They also have nice bathrooms on site. Honestly, even my husband and I had a blast running through the water and getting water dumped on our heads. It’s fun for all ages!!! ((beware of trash cans – they are bee heavy))
