On November 9, Lauri Dannemiller joined Apex Park and Recreation District as Executive Director. Her predecessor, Mike Miles, is retiring after 18 years of dedicated service. “I am humbled and honored to begin a new chapter in my career as the Executive Director of Apex Park and Recreation District,” Dannemiller said.

Apex PRD will be the beneficiary of her 24 years of experience in Colorado parks and recreation. She has worked in a number of communities with a wide range of sizes and attributes, including Poncha Springs, Englewood, Lakewood, and most recently in the city of Denver as Executive Director of Parks and Recreation. “Throughout my years in the profession, I’ve stayed passionate about the contributions that recreation makes to our Colorado communities,” Dannemiller said, “and Apex PRD is on the cutting edge of innovative recreational programs and services for our district constituents. I look forward to trying to fill Mike’s big shoes and leaving a few footprints of my own.”
