Young cyclists turn out for seventh annual Apex PRD free bike rodeo

On Saturday, April 23 from 10 am to noon, Apex PRD’s annual free Bike Rodeo returned to Secrest Youth and Teen Center, 6820 W. 66th Ave., Arvada, CO.

Children, families and friends stopped by for free bike helmets., free bike safety checks, safety skill-building activities, an obstacle course and bicycle decorating. Highlighting the event were demonstrations by Maestas Tae Kwon Do, fire truck tours, and the famous Brain Drop, featuring a gelatin “brain” dropped from a six-foot ladder to vividly illustrate the value of bicycle helmets.
