Apex PRD announces outdoor pool opening schedule

Summer opens with a splash as the new Apex Center outdoor splash pad opens on Saturday, May 26 at 13150 W. 72nd Avenue! Join us as we celebrate the arrival of the season with an exciting new outdoor water feature.

Next to open is Lake Arbor outdoor pool, 7451 W. 83rd Way, opening at noon on Saturday, June 2. This facility offers the best of both worlds: it’s conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood setting, and it also has a great lineup of water features for all ages: a zero-depth pool with play features, water slide, and a spacious pool for lessons, laps and open swimming. Lake Arbor is open from noon to 6 p.m. from June 2 through August 17.

The Ralston-Central Park Splash Pad, operated by Apex PRD and owned by the City of Arvada, is located at 5850 Garrison St. This facility is open May 26 through September 15; hours are 10 a.m.-8 p.m. daily.

The new Fitzmorris outdoor pool, 6340 Independence St., and Secrest outdoor pool, 6820 W. 66th Avenue, will open in mid-June, making a total of five great neighborhood outdoor swimming options for your summer aquatic enjoyment!

The Apex Center indoor aquatics area is open year-round; this area closes 30 minutes before the main facility. Visit ApexPRD.org for facility hours. Meyers Pool is also open year-round; visit ApexPRD.org for summer hours, which begin May 26.

Last but not least, mark your calendars for the annual Dog Swim on Saturday, August 18.

All our pools are subject to closure in case of inclement weather, including the indoor pools if lightning is in the area. Keep an eye on the skies before you visit, and if you have weather-related questions, call 303.424.2739 or visit ApexPRD.org for individual facility phone numbers and information.
