Update: Tuesday, March 24, 12:00 p.m.
Dear Apex Community,
Never before have we had to address a challenge quite like the coronavirus pandemic. It has led to an unsettling time for our communities as the number of confirmed cases grow. More than anything, the safety of our members, guests, staff, and volunteers is paramount. Under directives from the administrations of Colorado Governor Jared Polis and our Board of Directors, all Apex facilities will be closed to the public through April 30, 2020.
We know that financial uncertainty is a concern for many of you, and we have been working hard with our staff to provide you with the following information regarding credits and refunds for passes, programs, rentals, and events affected during the closure period.
Credits will be posted to customer accounts by activity, so it may take a few days for all transactions to post to your account; we anticipate having all credits posted by March 31. Any refunds being issued will be done so via original method of payment (i.e. to the credit or debit card that was used to make the purchase). Other refunds that need to be made by check may take up to 30 days to process. Coordinator contact information can be found by visiting https://apexprd.org/activities/. The District uses a third-party vendor to process our payments and refunds so if there are delays or errors, we apologize and will work diligently to correct any issues.
Our mission at the Apex Park and Recreation District is to enhance the health of our community – socially, emotionally, and physically – by being a gathering place and trusted resource for a variety of activities and programs that connect people and improve their quality of life. We look forward to continuing this mission on behalf of our community as soon as possible.
For more information about specific refunds, please refer to this document: COVID-19 Refund Communications to Community.

We continue to monitor the situation and will update ApexPRD.org/virus as updates are made.
We are also continuing to work through refunds while we are closed. We should have an update about that process early next week.

Arvada’s High Tea for Seniors – Saturday, March 14: canceled
Apex Park and Recreation District is closely monitoring the developing Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. We are working with Jefferson County Public Health Department and as you may have seen, Governor Polis has declared a state of emergency in Colorado as it relates to the Coronavirus. This action was taken to allow him to access certain funding in response to the virus, as well as give him expanded legal authority to address the issue.
Apex Park and Recreation District will continue to prioritize the health and safety of our community and staff. We have taken increased precautions around cleaning and disinfecting our facilities more frequently, and encourage everyone visiting our facilities and classes to wash their hands regularly and stay home if you are showing signs and symptoms of the coronavirus. At this time, we are not canceling any classes or closing any of our facilities. If you have questions about your registration please contact Guest Services at GuestServices@ApexPRD.org.
