If you’ve visited our online activity guide (or even perused the Upcoming Programs and Classes section at the bottom of this newsletter) you know Apex is offering tons of new and exciting programs for youth and teens. Here are just a few of the programs coming soon that we can’t wait for you to be a part of.

Youth Track and Field

Learn basic skills in running, jumping, and throwing. Meets on Saturdays with other organizations/teams. The season will start on June 6 and run until July 24. All practices will be held at the track behind Oberon Middle School. Contact, 303.467.7120, for more information.

Custom Creations Workshop

Create with Cricut. Craft your own home decor, shirts, bags, and anything in between, and go home with a custom product of your own design. We will be learning crafting techniques and using the Cricut machine and Design Space software to produce our masterpieces. These can be monthly themed or holiday designs or original designs just for fun. This is a two-part class; all supplies are provided. Parents’ Night Out

Parents, need a night out? Our certified Camp Apex staff is here for your childcare needs year-round. A fun night out isn’t just for the big kids ages 5-11 anymore. We now offer a separate program and space just for Minis ages 2-4 years old. Join us on the second Friday of each month at the Apex Center. The kids get an evening filled with crafts, dancing, and dinner is included, all while you get to have a night out to catch up on errands. Contact, 303.467.7119, for more information.

Leader In Training Summer Program

Calling all leaders, come work on your leadership skills with your peers in a safe, judgment-free environment. Each month-long program is designed for teens 13-15 years old who are interested in gaining a head start in building their working toolbox of professional skills. Leaders will participate in leadership activities such as bully prevention, public speaking, facilitation, and communication lessons. To enroll in the program, Leaders will need to complete an application and interview. Please contact Vee at for more information.

Teen Expedition Camp

Get ready to explore the vast outdoors on this 4-day outdoor adventure experience. Learn about aquatic wildlife as you paddleboard across a lake, reach new heights as you learn the basics of outdoor rock climbing, explore some of Colorado’s most pristine mountains and trails on our all-day hikes, and challenge yourself on a high ropes initiatives course. This camp will meet at Secrest Recreation Center and will travel to off-site locations. Contact, 303.467.7119, for more information.

Gardening and Giggles

Join Apex’s brand-new youth enrichment gardening program for children ages 2.5-5. We will plant small containers and learn about topics like nutrition, compost, pollinators, and water conservation. Contact, 303.467.7195, for more information.
