Call To Order

President Pyne called to order the November 20, 2025, meeting of the Apex Park and Recreation District Board of Directors, held at 6:30 pm at the Apex Center. The board members in attendance in person were Vicki Pyne, Liz Tomsula, Jo Burns and Lynn Emrick. District employees in attendance were Jeff Glenn, Executive Director; Katie Groke, Director of Community Services and recording secretary; Mark Baird, Director of District Services; Samira Tadayon, Aquatics and HVAC Technician; Monica Bowser, Community Services Manager; Jeff Leniger, Finance Director; and Hillary Roemersberger, Recreation Director.

Approval of the Absence of Director Garrimone

Motion: Director Tomsula moved to approve the absence of Director Garrimone. Director Emrick seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.

Approval of Agenda as Amended

Motion: Director Burns moved to approve the agenda. Director Tomsula seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.

Approval of Minutes From October 13 Meeting

Motion: Director Tomsula moved to approve the October 13 board meeting minutes. Director Burns seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.

Public Input

Ms. Roubhie Fairchild presented Apex with their first-place ribbon from the Harvest Festival Parade.

Mr. Ed Tomlinson spoke about engaging with staff. Mr. Glenn will follow up with Mr. Tomlinson.

New Business

1. Public Input Budget 2026: Jeff Leniger

There was no public comment.

2. CPRA Presentation: Samira Tadayon

Ms. Tadayon presented a recap of the CPRA Conference.

Old/Other Business

Mr. Glenn reported that things are moving along with the Rec Technologies transition.

Mr. Glenn reported that interviews have started for open positions.

Executive Director Report

Mr. Glenn let the BOD know that there will be a hockey tournament on Thanksgiving Day this year.

Board Member Reports

Director Tomsula reported on the city coordinating meeting.

Director Emrick had nothing to report.

Director Burns updated the BOD about Santa House and the progress being made.

President Pyne had nothing to report

Adjournment

Motion: Director Emrick moved that the meeting be adjourned. Director Tomsula seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.

President Pyne adjourned the meeting at 7:04 pm.
