2016 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report Cover

The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has recognized Apex Park and Recreation District for its 2016 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). Continuing a track record of more than two decades, Apex PRD has once again received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting – the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.

The CAFR is an annual financial summary of the district’s year. It is distributed each year to various local, state and federal government entities, as well as the general public via the district’s website. The GFOA, a professional association serving nearly 20,000 appointed and elected officials, evaluates these documents and stresses clarity, readability and a “constructive spirit of full disclosure to clearly communicate its financial story.”

The 2016 CAFR, along with the district’s annual budget, can be found at apexprd.org/financial reports.
