Grab your coat and join us for an easy-rated hike along Mount Vernon Creek Trail Loop. While there are no mountainous peaks on Mount Vernon Creek Trail, it’s still a very scenic and relaxing walk, with a lot of brush, cactus and yucca plants. Enjoy views of the red rocks, distant peaks and wide-open skies above as you trek with our group.2.3 miles round-trip.278 feet of elevation gain. Starting elevation: about 6000 feet. Level of Exertion (LOE): 1-2. Please bring a bag lunch, hydration, and recommended hiking equipment. Transportation is included. Meet at the Community Recreation Center, 6842 Wadsworth Blvd., by 9 am.
