The voter-approved improvements to the Apex Tennis Center are now underway: renovating the eight outdoor courts with post tension surfaces, adding new lights and fences, and adding four new indoor courts and controlled access to all areas of the Apex Tennis Center.

During the construction process, the Apex Tennis Center outdoor courts are closed but we’ll offer the full range of tennis activities by making use of the other tennis courts throughout the district, and our building remains open during business hours for stringing, pro shop sales and general info. The planned reopening of the outdoor courts is scheduled for late summer, with a date to be announced later. For questions about programs, leagues, and alternative courts, please contact Michele at 303-420-1210 or /* email hidden; JavaScript is required */.

Tennis Programs

The Apex Tennis Center offers one of the most comprehensive tennis programs in the Denver metro area, with entry level instruction from youth age 3.5 to adult. Players as young as 3.5 years of age can get started with the basics in ball handling, progressing into various class levels based on rally skills, then moving into programs for middle and high school players of all ability levels. Summer CARA Tennis offers game development and sportsmanship for beginning/intermediate levels, while Junior Team Tennis provides a more competitive option for stronger, younger players and is highly recommended for players entering or currently playing in high school.

Apex Tennis Center offers adults many opportunities to learn and play. Lessons, drills, and recreational leagues, such as Senior Breakfast League, or Up/Down tennis (pairing a CWTF wheelchair player with an able bodied player) are available, as our competitive USTA leagues, run by North Jeffco Tennis Club. Opportunities exist for free or low cost cost drop in play.

Special Events and Tennis Tournaments

Every spring, the Apex Tennis Center hosts a Free Tennis Carnival to celebrate tennis and get players excited and plugged in to the tennis community. Due to construction, there will be no carnival this year.

A variety of USTA sanctioned tournaments are offered for juniors and adults and can be found in the Big Book of Tennis, available on line at coloradotennis.com, or at the Apex Tennis Center.
