The 13th annual Apex PRD Foundation Father’s Day Car Show was the place to be on Sunday, June 18 at the Apex Center. Spectators strolled through the sun-splashed setting, admiring the vehicles and taking in the sights, sounds and delicious aromas of the event. Earlier that day, runners and walkers took part in the Father’s Day Classic 5K, 10K and fun run at the site, many taking the time to relax with some refreshments and a look at the car show.
As in the past 12 years, the Apex Center parking lot filled up early with gorgeous cars from many decades; entry fees went toward the Apex PRD Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization whose volunteer board works to support quality, accessible and affordable recreation through Apex Park and Recreation District.
Many thanks to the Foundation for their dedication to community recreation and their hard work to create this successful and popular event. For more about the Foundation, visit foundation.apexprd.org. To see photos of the June 18 event, visit our Facebook page.
