JoAnn Gould joins district’s management team

A warm welcome to JoAnn Gould, who officially began work at Apex Park and Recreation District on March 6. JoAnn brings her considerable talent, expertise and experience to the district to serve as Deputy Director of Recreation Services.

JoAnn is an accomplished, successful leader in the parks and recreation profession, most recently at South Suburban Park and Recreation District, where she served as Director of Recreation Facilities. She managed operations at many facilities, oversaw all recreation programming for the district, managed a $12 million operating budget, supervised a 67-member full-time staff, and was instrumental in other diverse areas such as community master-planning, joint-use agreement development, district-wide policy planning, and developing effective working relationships with other community organizations.

JoAnn holds a master’s degree in Parks and Recreation Administration, along with and numerous other educational accomplishments, certifications and honors.
