Apex Park and Recreation District is fortunate to serve a community known for its high-quality, well-attended youth sports programs. Volunteers are the key to this success, and on December 6, 13 outstanding youth volunteers were honored for their dedication and contributions.

The 29th annual Youth Sports Volunteers’ Appreciation Dinner, hosted by Apex Park and Recreation District, took place at Indian Tree Golf Club, 7555 Wadsworth Blvd., Arvada. Honorees were Fabian Borjas and Jenna White with Edge Soccer Association; (pictured), Ken Giese and Lynn Atencio with Arvada Midget Football Association; Darin Denton and Travis Stone with Rocky Mountain Storm Lacrosse; Ryan Hellman and Kim Nelson with Arvada Hockey Association; Brandon Walker with Arvada Girls Softball Association; Mike Watkins and Steve Hatch with North Jefferson Junior Baseball Association; and Crystal Dodge and Brian Dodge and Apex PRD Youth Sports.

“For the 29th year, Apex PRD is fortunate to partner with our community youth sports organizations and outstanding volunteers who give back selflessly to improve the quality of life of our residents,” said Executive Director Lauri Dannemiller. “Congratulations to all who attended this year’s event and we look forward to the 30th anniversary next year!”
