Expo: Volunteering and Getting Back into the Workplace

Are you looking for qualified, seasoned, dependable people for part-time, full-time, or volunteer job openings? Help connect adults aged 50+ to employment and volunteer opportunities. We welcome agencies that have employment or volunteer opportunities for people aged 50+ or assist adults in job-seeking skills.

Community agencies often have wonderful opportunities for adults aged 50+. We have found an effective way to connect these opportunities with our participants is through Lobby Expos, featuring 14-53 tables. Several times a year, we host themed expos, and agencies related to the theme are invited to sponsor a table to educate our participants about their services. Apex reserves the right to decline agencies if they don’t fit the established expo theme. Since we are trying to connect adults with a variety of services, we do not offer exclusivity except in cases of franchised services. Attendance at past resource fairs has been between 60-99+ people, with currently over 90 seniors passing through the lobby for classes.

Expos

Expo Sponsor Information

Exhibitors are provided two chairs and a 2-1/2 x 8-foot table to display information. Exhibitors are responsible for bringing their own tablecloths. Refreshments for exhibitors and participants are served during the event. Exhibitor set-up begins 45 minutes prior to event time; if you need more time, please let us know. We promote this Expo through The Rundown (bi-monthly e-newsletter), Apex Active Adult Highlights (monthly newsletter), 50+ Marketplace News and Prime Time for Seniors, as well as other local media.

Exhibitors are encouraged to provide a door prize used to encourage participants to visit all the tables. To reserve your space, please fill out this form. A limited number of spaces are available, which are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. If space remains available, you may reserve a space up until the event, but for more complete recognition benefits, respond early. Payment is due 10 days prior to the event. Checks are made payable to Apex PRD, or we accept credit cards.

All Financial Sponsors Receive:

  • Inclusion in the exhibitor game being conducted to encourage attendees to visit booths
  • Public recognition during the event
  • Exhibitor space at the expo (8’ table) to distribute promotional materials during the event
  • Acknowledgment in Apex’s Active Adult Highlights newsletter

Additional sponsorship upgrades are given as follows:

  • Gold Sponsorship - $160 tax-deductible donation per expo
    • Logo on the event program cover
    • Name on mid-month Active Adult e-reminder (over 1500 emailed)
    • Name and contact information on the event program
  • Silver Sponsorship - $100 tax-deductible donation per expo, $60 non-profit sponsors*
    • Name and contact information on the event program
    • (*non-profits agencies must be 501c3 or government)
  • Share-a-Space (per agency fee) - $60 for-profit sponsors, $35 non-profit sponsors*
    • Same perks as Silver sponsorship, except sharing a table (four feet of space/sponsor) with another exhibitor, which Apex assigns.

Note: If you decide to split a table at any level with someone you choose, the second vendor must submit a commitment form to be listed in the program and included in the vendor game, and they pay for the level of perks they want to receive (at a minimum they must pay the share-a-space fee).

Sponsorship donations offset Expo expenses and promotions, with proceeds benefiting the programs and services of the Community Recreation Center.
