What prompted you to run for the board?
I have thoroughly enjoyed my first 4 years on the board and want to continue serving this great community. It was a historically close race and I feel privileged to have been elected to a second term.

What skills and experience do you bring to the board?
I now bring four years of board experience along with me as well as the people skills I have developed over my life.

What are your goals for your current board term?
To lead this board over the next four years and to focus on the development and execution of the 15 year master plan just finished.

What makes Apex PRD stand out from other recreation agencies?
The facilities, the wide variety of programs we offer, the leadership and most of all the STAFF!! They are second to none.

Occupation: business owner

What prompted you to run for the board?
We recently lost about 50-plus years of experience on the board, so I felt that from an experience standpoint we needed to fill some of those vacancies with someone who has been in the district and worked with the board members who are staying, in order to keep some continuity.

What skills and experience do you bring to the board?
Membership on the Apex Foundation board of directors, chair of bond issue groups in 1998 and 2003. Being as involved as I have been over the last eight-plus years, I know the issues that the board has had to work with from a financial and management standpoint.

What are your goals for your current board term?
To move forward with the renovation and repair of Apex facilities, making them more inviting places with increased numbers of patrons; and to work toward more effective and productive relationships with other area government entities.

What makes Apex PRD stand out from other recreation agencies?
The district’s unique combination of programs and activities, presented by an enthusiastic and skilled staff.

Occupation: I own Trust Hall Insurance Services Inc. in Arvada, which provides for all lines of family and business insurance.

What prompted you to run for the board?
I served on the North Jeffco 20/20 citizens study group. I learned firsthand the great organization and staff that the district provides to the families of Arvada. I was encouraged to run by the board members and friends of the district. I welcomed the opportunity to serve.

What skills and experience do you bring to the board?
I feel I have been preparing for this for a long time, having served on several boards for a wide variety of organizations for the past 25 years. Experience is a good teacher.

What are your goals for your current board term?
I will be a good listener and represent the families of the district with hard work and integrity. I will work to build consensus with fellow board members and staff, to communicate with and develop a good working relationship with City of Arvada. I will also work to develop a budget and plan of action for rebuilding the Garrison facility.

What makes Apex PRD stand out from other recreation agencies?
What makes us the best – great staff and great facilities! Numerous awards, including two national Gold Medal awards, also demonstrate peer recognition of the district as the best there is in the nation.
