On Friday, May 3, the Arvada Center was the site for this year’s Senior Prom, where the room was transformed into “An Evening In Paris.”
Kicking off the evening (pun intended) were the Rockyettes, a dance troupe based at the Apex Community Recreation Center, who performed a rousing version of the can-can to put everyone in a Parisian state of mind. Brandy Strauch, an Apex PRD Zumba instructor, also energized the crowd by leading a few dances.

Make-A-Wish Foundation, NHL, Apex Center co-host “Logan’s Day with the Stanley Cup”
On Wednesday, May 15, Logan Piz, an Arvada 13-year-old, a student at Lincoln Academy, and Arvada Hockey player #43, had what he described as “the best day of my life.”
The Make-A-Wish Foundation teamed up with the National Hockey League to grant Logan’s wish… to spend the day with the Stanley Cup trophy and share the celebration with his teammates. Much of the event took place at the Apex Center,

Apex PRD Youth Track
Ages 7-16 Summer Track and Field program for ages 7-16 (as of July 31, 2013). Meets are held on Saturdays with other recreation departments. Meets include both track and field events.
