Work on skating, puck and stick handling, and shooting. This is not a drop-in hockey game. Hours may be adjusted due to special events and holidays. Portions of the ice may be used periodically for lessons or special events. Times are subject to change without notice. Always call the Apex Center Ice Arena at 303.403.2598 to confirm times.
Fees: Res. $11 per session (non-res. $13 per session)
Guidelines
- Full equipment is required for ages 17 and under. Long sleeves, gloves, and a helmet are required for everyone 18 and over.
- Full equipment is recommended, and skin must be covered.
- Coaches with pre-approval from rink management are allowed to coach private lessons in the south zone during stick and puck sessions.
- Goalies pay the same fee as everyone else.
- Control your shots; you’re responsible for the pucks you shoot.
- Pucks are not supplied; bring your own.
- Respect and get along with other skaters and coaches.
- No goaltending unless you are wearing goaltending equipment.
- Partial ice scrimmages may be allowed at staff discretion based on ice usage.
- No slapshots or snapshots toward the side glass.
- 10U sessions: parent or chaperone is allowed to be in the session with their skater age 10 and under.

Apex Learn to Play Hockey provides the perfect bridge between Apex Learn to Skate and ice hockey programs such as the Apex Adult Hockey League.
Search and Register for Adult Drop-in Hockey
Goalies do not have to register; just show up, no fee for goalies.

- Please bring a white and dark jersey
Competitive, non-check, coed Apex Adult Hockey League (AAHL) in-house at the Apex Center Ice Arena, 13150 W. 72nd Ave. Coed adult divisions for ages 18+ with 3 seasons annually: fall (September), winter (January), and spring/summer (May). Evening divisions play 10 regular-season games, concluding with single-elimination playoffs. Lunch league plays 12 drop-in-style games, with rosters shuffled from week to week. Lunch league does not have playoffs, referees or scorekeepers.

Adult Hockey Divisions
- B: Designed for experienced players and is the top league. Tuesday nights.
- High-C: Designed for higher-level intermediate players. Monday nights and some Wednesday nights.
- Low-C: Designed for lower-level intermediate players. Wednesday nights and some Monday nights.
- D: Designed for beginner players with some experience to lower-level intermediate players. Monday nights and Tuesday nights.
- E: Designed for true beginners who have completed Learn to Play Hockey but have less than one year of adult hockey experience. Saturday afternoons are available in the late spring and early summer only.
- Over 40: Designed for players of all abilities over the age of 40. Sunday nights.
Lunch League Hockey
Lunch League Hockey is designed for the intermediate recreational player. Tuesday and Thursday.

Private lessons are held daily during stick and puck sessions through private instructors. Instructors must have pre-arranged rink management approval. Seasonal adult clinics are offered between seasons.
