Permanent Court Time Information and Application

Permanent Court Time Information

The Apex Tennis Center will use an application process to select time slots for 15 weeks of permanent court time (PCT) running from January 5 to April 19. This affords the applicants who did not receive court time last winter another chance to get selected.

The application process is simple and efficient. First, we only need one application for your group that shares the same court. If you are requesting two courts, we would need a second application. The player or PCT contact must be a resident, as the amount owed for the 15 weeks will be applied to that Apex Park and Recreation District account and is due by January 3. Second, the applicant will request a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th choice for their preferred time slot. If your application is randomly chosen, we will try to accommodate the request in order of your preference. If your choices are no longer available, you will not get a slot. Third, as previously mentioned, the application is only for 15 weeks. We will reset the time slots for the next 15-week session in August.

The time slots available are listed in the court schedule below and are for either 1.5 or 2 hours. These times cannot be changed. With only four indoor courts and significant demand, we are trying to create an equitable assortment of tennis opportunities for all ages and abilities. The facility is open until 10:30 pm on weeknights as junior programming was moved back due to the changes in school start and finish times. Prices for PCT are $44 per court per hour for this resident-only application process. You will be notified by Friday, December 27, of your awarded time slot, and payment will be due by Friday, January 3.

Prospect Recreation and Park District Residents are not eligible for this process. Do not apply on behalf of a friend who is a non-resident. You must be a resident and a player in the group for which you submit the application.

Resident Pricing: $44 per hour

1.5 Hour Slot: 15 weeks - $990

2 Hour Slot: 15 weeks - $1,320

PCT FAQs

Benefits of Permanent Court Time (PCT)

  • It’s guaranteed. Permanent court time provides a regular time to play. The court is yours; no phone call is needed to check if a court might be available.
  • It’s convenient. Choose your day and time, whether it be an hour and a half or two hours. Plan for the entire 15-week indoor season, January-April.
  • It’s your group. Once you have secured your time slot, invite your friends, teammates, family, or tennis nemesis to join you for a session or all season.
  • It’s social. The Apex Tennis Center is a gathering place for tennis enthusiasts. Come join us.
  • It’s affordable. No membership or guest fees reduce the cost for all players – a true pay-to-play model at an award-winning facility.

Should everyone in my group apply?

No, only one member of your group needs to submit the application unless you would like two different time slots. All applications will be discarded if there are multiple submitted for the same group. This is so you do not get two courts when you only want one, and it is unfair to those who are following the guidelines. For those who return a court for any reason, you will be ineligible to apply for PCT for the next two 15-week sessions.

Am I a resident of the Apex Park and Recreation District?

Typically, resident status is for those who live within the district and pay taxes to Apex PRD. If you do not have an Apex PRD account with your resident status verified, please do so before you submit your application. Create an account on our ActiveNET page or call us at 303.420.1210 for assistance. If we cannot verify your residency, your application will be discarded. Prospect Recreation and Park District residents are not eligible to apply, nor can you apply for a non-resident friend, teammate, or acquaintance.

What if I do not get any of my four choices?

Because of the high demand for PCT, this happens. However, if you do not get any of your choices, we may reach out to you with any remaining slot options to check if one of those days and times will work. Typically, we are only able to accommodate around 60% of the requests due to the high demand.

When is the application due?

Your application is due no later than December 22 using our online application submission or by bringing a hard copy to the Apex Tennis Center. Payment for your 15-week slot is due by January 3.

What if I am a non-resident?

After all the requests for residents have been satisfied, we will post the remaining available slots, if any, on the Apex Tennis Center page.
