Ven Pongal: a comfort food made using pressure-cooked rice and moong dal, seasoned with ginger, cumin, curry leaves, and black pepper, tempered in ghee. Hotel Sambar: pigeon peas cooked with pearl onions and a freshly made spice blend. Vada: protein-rich, crisp, and savory lentil fritters. Chutney: a nutty flavored condiment made using fresh grated coconut.
