Our hike group is headed to Evergreen for a scenic waterfall hike. Come along for this moderately rated hike in the Arapaho National Forest. We will start from the upper trailhead, which offers a descent to the Maxwell Falls. Highlights include shaded trails, serene streams, and lovely forest views. The main challenge is an optional scramble over rocks to get a better view of the falls. Depending on the trail conditions, traction may be needed. 2.4 miles round-trip. 518 feet of elevation gain. Starting elevation: 8425 feet. Level of Exertion (LOE): 2-3. Please bring a bag lunch, hydration, and recommended hiking equipment. Transportation is included. Meet at the Community Recreation Center, 6842 Wadsworth Blvd., by 8 am.
