The Arvada Tennis Center offers one of the most comprehensive tennis programs in the Denver metro area, with entry level instruction from youth age 3.5 to adult. Players as young as 3.5 years of age can get started with the basics in ball handling, progressing into various class levels based on rally skills, then moving into programs for middle and high school players of all ability levels. Summer CARA Tennis offers game development and sportsmanship for beginning/intermediate levels, while Junior Team Tennis provides a more competitive option for stronger, younger players and is highly recommended for players entering or currently playing in high school.
Arvada Tennis Center offers adults many choices from lessons, to drills or joining a recreational league such as Senior Breakfast League or participating in USTA sanctioned leagues, run by North Jeffco Tennis Club. Opportunities are also available to hit the tennis courts with a variety of groups on a drop-in basis.
Special Events and Tennis Tournaments
Every spring, the Arvada Tennis Center hosts a Free Tennis Carnival to celebrate tennis and get players excited and plugged in to the tennis community. USTA sanctioned tournaments are offered for juniors and adults and can be found in the Big Book of Tennis, available on line at coloradotennis.com. The tennis center partners with the Colorado Wheelchair Tennis Foundation to offer competitive play and social play, in a one up, one down format.
