Join us on Saturday, November 23, from 2-5 pm at the Arvada Aquatics Center for the grand opening festivities. These will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, facility tours, and family-friendly activities to officially unveil this exciting new addition to the community.
The Arvada Aquatics Center (AAC) is an aquatics facility owned by the city of Arvada, co-funded by Jeffco Public Schools, and operated and maintained by the Apex Park and Recreation District. The regional facility hosts various users, from swim lessons to competitive swimming events to recreational lap swimmers and swim classes. The facility is home to the Jeffco Public Schools swimming and diving teams; the North Jeffco Swim Team, a USA Swimming competitive club; and the Mile High Dive Club, a USA Diving competitive program.

SilverSneakers, Renew Active, Silver&Fit, Active&Fit, Prime, Medicare/Medicaid One Pass, One Pass Commercial, Well On Target, Mutually Well and other insurance-based memberships are also being accepted for cardio, weight room, walking track, public skating sessions and swimming pools.
- Lifeguards enforce rules and regulations and respond to aquatic emergencies. Parents are ultimately responsible for their children's safety.
- Proper swim attire-bathing suits, board shorts, or swim trunks appropriate for a family-friendly environment are required. No street clothes are allowed in the water unless approved by management.
- All users must shower before entering the pools.
- Personal instruction is only permitted by Apex Park and Recreation District staff.
- Lockers may not be used overnight; they are for day use only. If locks are left on lockers, they will be cut off, and the belongings will be placed in lost and found.
- Portions of all pools may be closed periodically for swimming lessons or special events.
- All guests must pay an admission fee.
- Running, sliding on railways, dunking, water fights and other horseplay are prohibited.
- No glass containers.
- Food and gum are not allowed in the water.
- The possession or use of alcoholic beverages, illegal substances, tobacco, marijuana or weapons is prohibited on all Apex PRD property. Any person that appears to have partaken of alcoholic beverages, marijuana or illegal substances will not be permitted on Apex PRD property.
The auxiliary pool water temperature is kept around 84 degrees. This pool is for lap swimming, water walking, aqua fitness classes and programming.
- Swim diapers are required for any guests who are diaper-dependent. Regular diapers are not allowed in the pools.
- All exercise equipment is for adult use and fitness classes only. Please return the equipment to the proper bins when finished.
- Only US Coast Guard-approved lifejackets are allowed. Any person wearing a life jacket must be within the arms’ reach of an adult at all times.
The competition pool water temperature is kept around 81 degrees. This pool is for competitive diving, lap swimming, approved aqua fitness classes, and competitive swimming and diving meets only.
- Swimming under bulkheads is strictly prohibited and may result in removal from the facility.
- Diving off starting blocks or bulkheads is strictly prohibited unless supervised by coaching staff approved by management.
- Lap lanes are for lap swimming only. When lap swimmers are waiting for a lane, other water exercises should be performed in the open space outside of the lap lanes.
- Coaches and athletes are prohibited from practicing prolonged breath-holding drills and exercises.
- No hanging on or swimming over the lane ropes.
- No swimming in the diving area when boards or platforms are in use.
- All users of the diving boards and platforms must be supervised by an authorized coach or representative.
- Only one person is allowed on a diving board at a time.
- Running and excessive bouncing are prohibited.
- No hanging from the diving boards or platforms.
- Divers must jump or dive straight off the end of the boards or platforms. Diving to the side of the boards or platforms is prohibited.
- Divers must exit the water at the nearest ladder after diving.
- Divers must wait until the previous diver has surfaced and cleared the area before the next diver begins.
- Flotation devices and goggles are prohibited when using diving boards or platforms.

The Masters Swimming program promotes a fun, healthy, and social environment for swimmers interested in swimming for fitness, participating in triathlons, and adult competitive swimming. Participants must be 18 years of age or older and should possess intermediate to advanced swimming skills. To receive the resident discount rate, participants must be an Apex PRD residents.
