Summer Concert Series Friend Form

A colorful bear with yellow eyes and a blue background with yellow text that reads "we fund culture" and pink text that reads "SCFD."We are pleased to announce the Summer Concert Series, made possible by a grant from the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD). The SCFD stretches its resources to enrich the lives of metro-wide residents by asking grantees to seek additional local support for event costs. That is why we are asking citizens like you to join us in presenting these fun community gatherings. Donations (tax-deductible) of any amount are appreciated and accepted throughout the concert season, but for complete donor benefits, we recommend donating early. Donations are acknowledged at the concerts unless the donor requests to be kept anonymous.

Over the years, funding has allowed us to produce 64 free concerts and 26 children’s performances, with an accumulated attendance of 30,470 people, including 933 in 2023. Donations for the concerts help defray costs, including hiring entertainers, replacing equipment, renting port-a-lets, staffing, and helping us promote this free opportunity. Each year, we strive to get this concert information to people who are financially challenged by distributing flyers through the Community Table (Arvada Food Bank), local preschools, assisted living centers, subsidized housing, and other venues. We will again be collecting food for the food bank at each of the concerts.

Community Benefits and Suggested Donor Benefits

Join us in presenting this community event. Each performance draws between 150-600+ people. The cost of each concert is between $800-$2000, and contributions help fill in the gap between what the grant, business sponsorships, and budget allows.

Your dollars help to fund performing groups; replace equipment such as microphones, cords, and cables; print flyers and posters; rent port-a-lets for the park; promote concerts to local retirement communities, food banks, subsidized housing, and others; recognize the volunteers who help make this series happen.
