On Ice Power is being offered on Saturdays at 8-8:30 am. The class will be on the East Rink and will be taught by rotating Staff Coaches. To sign up for this class please pick up a Contract from the Ice Desk.
Schedule: Monday: 5:45-6:45 am FSO/BEG 6:45-7:30 am FSO/BEG 7:30-8:15 am FSO/BEG 8:30-9:15 am

Amanda Douglass, Arvada resident and skater at the Apex Ice Arena, is headed for the 2013 Special Olympics World Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea. The games are held from January 29 to February 5. Before the World Games, Amanda will compete in qualifying events at Lake Placid, New York in early December.

Morgan Bell, 19, and her sister Mariah Bell, 14, are national figure skating competitors who train off the ice with Apex PRD personal trainer Jay Renick. They recently competed in the U.S. National Figure Skating Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina. Morgan finished ninth in the ladies short program, and Mariah Bell led the field in the novice short program and was third overall.
