Join us throughout July as we celebrate National Park and Recreation Month and the many ways parks and recreation bring our communities together.

The Power of Parks and Recreation is bringing people together socially, emotionally and physically. The Power of Connection. The Power of Play. The Power of Community. The Power of Well-Being. The Power of Nature. The Power of Belonging.

At Apex PRD, we are honored to build communities socially, emotionally and physically through “The Power of” parks and recreation.

  • Week of July 1: Connection. Watch for a video from staff and tag someone you’ve met through district programs, classes, leagues, camps or facilities and share how that person has positively impacted their life.
  • Week of July 6: Play and Community. Watch a video from staff and share a photo of you, your family or friends enjoying a district activity.
  • Week of July 13: Nature. Watch for a video from staff and post a picture of yourself outside a district building or park.
  • Week of July 20: Belonging. Watch for a video from staff and share a story about a program, staff member, coach, instructor or facility that makes you feel welcome and included.
  • Week of July 27: Well-Being. Watch for a video from staff and comment with one thing you do for their physical, mental or emotional well-being.
