Apex Park and Recreation District holds an Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Arvada, which solidifies our partnership to provide quality soccer, football, ultimate Frisbee, rugby, lacrosse, baseball and softball fields, or other athletic events for rent to those inside and outside of our community.
Apex PRD issues field permits for Arvada’s seven sports complexes, and over 50 active parks. (see our Fees section for a full list of active parks that Apex permits).
Depending on use of these parks, you may need to obtain a permit. In general, if you have an organized group, with recurring use,or a tournament/athletic event, you will need to request a permit by completing the Field Request Form below.
There are many parks around the City that are not considered “active parks” in Arvada, meaning there is no designated field space available for rental. These parks fall under the City of Arvada’s care and are considered “passive parks.” For more information on these parks, please go to arvada.org
Our field maintenance team works with the City of Arvada Parks Department to decide when it’s appropriate to close fields due to weather and field conditions. Apex staff will contact scheduled users following this timeline, if field conditions dictate a closer: 9 am, 1 pm and 4 pm, during the week. Closures will be posted at teamsideline.com/apex
Weekend tournaments starting on Saturday can expect a communication end of day Friday or early Saturday morning, should late weather arrive. Sunday users will be notified two hours before start time. It is the responsibility of the organization to communicate with it’s participates about field closer information.
We offer 3 tiers of fields and complexes, depending on your need and budget for rental.
Tier 1: Our most pristine complexes, large enough for league games and tournament play.
Tier 2: Slightly smaller complexes and fields, league games and tournament play allowed.
Tier 3: Active parks. Good for practices, and other organized events or programs. No lining or permanent goals allowed.
