Community Access Fund Scholarship Application

The Apex Park and Recreation District believes that residents should have access to basic recreation services regardless of their ability to pay. Through the Community Access Fund, district residents with current Apex Park and Recreation District ID cards can apply for financial assistance to recreation programs and facilities. Your request will be reviewed and remain confidential.

Individuals are eligible for up to $450 scholarship dollars per calendar year. Scholarships can be used for classes, leagues, and punch cards. Monthly and annual memberships are not eligible for scholarships.

Apex Park and Recreation District Community Access Fund Eligibility Guidelines

The applicant must be a district resident with a current district ID card. Applicant must provide proof of residency such as a utility bill and a photo ID with current address to obtain a district ID card.

Applicant must show proof of need by supplying verification of one of the following: Free and reduced lunch, WIC card, SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, or other assistance.

Applications must be turned in at least three weeks before the start date of the program requested. The maximum scholarship amount allowed is $450 per individual per year. Full and partial scholarships are available.

Any scholarship recipient that is a no-show to a program where they are receiving a scholarship will be subject to disqualification on future scholarship requests.

Information provided will not be shared with any other agency or personnel not directly associated with Community Access Fund requests.

Community Access Fund exclusions: Facility passes, golf green fees, cart fees, ice rental time, senior trips, district merchandise, AARP Senior Driver Safety Class, gift cards, facility rentals, and class supplies (if necessary for a program).
